Photographer’s Note

This is the MINES SHOPPING FAIR COMPLEX. A shopping centre about 20 km from Kuala Lumpur city centre. It is a huge shopping centre with lots of shops retailing merchandise, food and beverages with a total build up area of about 1.6 million square feet. There are 6 cineplexes with a 32 lane bowling centre as well in the complex. It has a unique feature of having a man made canal running through the complex when compared to other shopping complexes in Malaysia. You can pay for a boat ride around the entire lake previously used for open cast mining many many years ago which is now converted to a beautiful lake that runs through this complex, the nearby Palace of the Golden horses hotel with even a man made beach !

You choose a very special place, this inner water canal is amazing...and you reach a good play of colours and light conditions, I like special the water textures and the flags, that offer a good colour contrast...

alors 4a j'avais jamais vu, un canal dans un magansion, mais c'est vraiment génial, quelle iamge, originale ça doit être super de faire son shcoppind au bord de l'eau, fantastique image.

This is an impressive complex! I like your photo because you were able to control all those interior artificial lights. None is in a blown out state of over exposure and you kept evrything sharp.

Hi Tan,

Very good idea to include the old channel in the complex, using it as one more convenience to visitors. Beautiful composition. Excellent POV, great light, colors and sharpness.
