Photographer’s Note
So what does this photo of a dead tree stump tells?
On Broga hill where i trek, i found many of these tree stumps all over the hills looking just like this one! They are probably rotten due to termites (my guess) as in a tropical climate like Malaysia termites infestation is a very common problem. So huge problem in fact that there are many companies in Malaysia offering the services of termites extermination and this is BIG business in Malaysia.
The brown colour of the dead tree stump against the green and golden grass and the blue sky beyond tingles my eye senses ... The characteristic lines of the leftover wood that remains on the stump against the light is somehow a beautiful sight for me... though i don't know why?

Hello my dear Tan
What a significant and meaningful scene you have gotten!
Good framework, vivid color combination and well composition, but a little unsharpness for the main objects?. Congratulation on your good job !
Thanks for sharing and best regards,
Have a nice week !

Hi IC,
This is a better shot compared to the last one in term of composition and the technical aspect. The good use of DOF helped to emphasize the point of interest with the blurred foreground and the exploitation of the reeds to create interesting textures compliment and enhanced this composition. I also enjoyed the nice blue background. This probably answered your question. Lovely shot!!
Regards and keep shooting.
