Typical view of Malaysian waterfalls, there have many waterfalls at Malaysia. This photo showing many people playing at the lower reaches of Tekala Waterfall. This location is free for visiting.

Tekala Waterfall (N03 03.62' E101 52.13')

14km away from the town of Semenyih, or 50km approximately from Kuala Lumpur.

This recreational park, with its waterfalls set amidst lush unspoiled forest, is a great weekend getaway and a popular picnic spot among the locals. The delightfully tranquil surroundings make Sungai Tekala a rewarding destination for the city slicker.

lovely picture of this natural public swimming pool in tropical surrounding. I like a lot the color contrast of the various shirts they are wearing. Good management of light and beautiful colors.

Looks like a very fun and popular place to visit on a warm day, which is very often in Malaysia, though the water look very muddy but I guess when you live there are use to the way it look, it's probably normal. I like the scenery of people enjoying themselves and the thick foliage of forrest and greenery. Thank you.

Hi Ally,

The presence of the people has an effect of scale. The trees are framing well the water falls. The point of view takes our eyes toward the top of the falls which is giving depth to the photo. The surrounding light is giving a good contrast to the colors. Have a nice day.

interesting to see people dressed while in the bath, something very strange for a brazilian. There are pools like this in Portugal too, using the waters of the rivers. I liked the place inside the forest. nice and informative view

I really like this picture!
Sharpness is excellent, exposure is perfect, colors are so natural and beautiful, the pov was extremely well chosen and the composition is superb! I really like the details of all those trees in the background and how informal all those people look (not a single one posing for the photo) and how they seem to be enjoying the moment! What a refreshing place, cool water surrounded by greens! Bill and I visit waterfalls quite often in Sarawak. We took JusniNasirun to one of those place for a cool dip when he visited Kuching recently.

A nice wide angle shot to give the overall view of this enticing place. You hands must be very steady to yield good sharpness of the stationary subjects at 1/20 sec, but the people are slightly blurred.

I bet you are looking forward to your Bali trip!

excellent perspective, interesting scene of daily life! Even though for Malaysia it is a typical scene, for me it is a little "exotic" which I like very much! Very pleasant scene which also made me smile :) I also like the natural colours, and the whole scene looks refreshing even despite the absence of direct sunshine.
