Fishing Lake Photo

Photographer’s Note

There have many fishing lakes along Lalang Road at Semenyih district, as tin mining lakes before. This fishing lake I found near and opposite to a famous location Tekala Waterfall (N03 03.62' E101 52.13'), where only 5 minutes walking distance. Here you can see some people fishing at the peninsular and the opposite of lake. Hope this greenery land still available for next generations.

I suggest every one to eat at Semenyih town before visit here, because stalls by the road side have no provide seat, and the only restaurant beside this lake not really clean, many flies disturb me while I am eating.

Despite the food, this is a good place to spend nice times at hot afternoon.

Since getting back to Canada I sure have been missing all the green. A beautiful picture! It looks like a great spot to relax. Good detail and color. Gee I wish our snow would hurry up and vanish. TFS

Both original and WS are good, I like the WS for it overall view and this one for the details. together it's perfect. Love the rich green vegetation and deep forrest. The lake look inviting, especially on a hot day, which most of the time in Malaysia. To me, fishing is not the main reason, just something to do and sit there with your friends or love one. Thanks you.

relaxing, indeed :) Beautiful view! and I also like the two almost symmetrical flags :) Very good capture, very pleasant. Very good composition. Comparing this photo with the WS photo, I don't really know which one is better..... I like both, but they are a little different. But this - closer - shot looks more impressive, in my opinion...

Hard for me to choose between main post and workshop, they are both good. I appreciate the sense of simmetry in this one and the nice, relaxed type of atmosphere that permeates it. the building is so fragille and it is interesting how it is adorned with national flags. Beautiful place, we can see great pieces of forests in the background, amazing light, excellen pov and framing. very beautiful daily life scene

Hi Ally,

The reflections in the water are assets to the composition. The trees are framing well the lake. The point of view takes our eyes toward the mountains in the background which is giving depth to the photo. The quality of the light is enhancing the colors and isgiving a good contrast to them. For me, it would be a hard choice between this photo and the WS photo. I like this one because it emphasizes people enjoying life in the park. It also shows pride in Malasia to display the beautiful flag in such a casual setting. The WS emphasizes the beautiful landscape. As others have noted you have a good eye for framing your photos.

Since this is my first visit, was interested to read your profile and visit your website. That is a very interesting discussion of governmental changes.

Hello Ally, very very beautiful and relaxing environment with its intense green texture. The small "island-like" land in the middle of the lake seems to be a nice place to have a rest. If you ask me which photo I do prefer, I would go for the one in the WS, in which the motor vehicles are less visible.

I have no idea of what one might catch there, but then that is not so important for leisure fishing...

The flags do a nice colour contrast and denounce a pleasant breeze. It's hard to believe that they used to mine there, because usually mining does much damage to nature and beauty of places.

Olá Ally, I would bring my food from home or Semenyih and make a pic-nic here :) Beautiful and idylic although maybe too popular, judging by the set of cars parked in the distance. Nice approach here. It makes me think of a boat stop, as if those persons were waiting for the public boat. Still, I like the WS too and can't decide which version I prefer.
I'll start the argentina series today but I will be less active and I will turn of the points as well.
