I would have prefered the WS image for this posting with that nice christmas tree stand just by the side of the sliding wall! more beautiful colour!

Olá Ally, that's a daring image to post. And Tony expresses what most members might think. I find it more interesting and original than the pic of the christamas tree, although I'm glad that you show the source of what we see here, since this is quite abstract. Seems like lines of electric energy...

Why because this image is a good idea for abstract photography ,the reflections in glasses or water waves are good means to achieved results ( in a quiet surface water , pick up some light and little and launched ots in water and at what it is happening , try that a night or day also , this action is often very interesting for abstract photo)

A good capture of the reflections of the light of the Christmas tree. It is giving a special effect to the photo. There seem to be a light fog or mist. The subject is well frame. Have a nice day.

Very interesting color pattern that caught your attention, perhaps you are feeling holiday season's mood when shooting this?

It may be interesting to shoot diagonal?

Ally, Certainly an unusual shot, but we all learn from experimenting. This does not do much for me, but I do love the golden tone and color and the graphic element of the shot. The workshop image is not up to your normal high standard shot either, I have higher expectation of you than that. I think you are getting a little too relax these days. Too busy perhaps durring the holiday season. Keep up the good works and thanks

Hello Ally,
as an artistic experimental shot this is a perfect photo (I judge by the idea and the colours). It is interesting that you saw this reflection and it came to your mind to take a photo of it! I like reflections and am interested in them. But if it were not for your explanation I would never guess what is in this photo! This looks like golden rain behind a thick glass. Floods of golden rain.
In any case I support the idea of taking photos whenever we like or feel something is worth being captured! Life is too fleeting. Why not to capture its moments whenever possible?

Cette photo semble une peinture abstraite sur ces fêtes de fin d'année. Pour donner plus de force il aurait fallu plus de netteté, de couleur et de contraste.

Minimalist, but a nice effect, especially when considering where it comes from, as can be seen thanks to the other picture in workshop.
