For the past few years. I have been visiting the Thai Buddhist Chetawan Temple in Petaling Jaya on Wesak Day, looking for new angles to shoot.
Today is Wesak Day, which commemorates three important events in the life of Lord Sakyakmuni Buddha - His Birth, Enlightenment and Passing Away.
This time, I was experimenting with using a 50mm lens on my Canon 350D (1.6 crop factor) to see the type of photos I can get from the prime lens. I was photographing the lady with her child on her shoulder, to enable her to insert coins into the bowls. Managed to get a single candid shot of the young pre-schooler seemingly having a 'conversation' with the Buddha. |
