Photographer’s Note

I was at One Utama Shopping Centre, Petaling Jaya last week. There was a section with stalls displaying Sarawak goods. At about 7PM, there was a cultural dance performed by this lovely beauty together with another 2 dancers. Asked for their permission and took a few shots before their Ngajat Dance.

The largest state in Malaysia, Sarawak is blessed with an ethnically diverse population, which consists of both indigenous and non-indigenous peoples. The former comprises Ibans, Malays, Bidayuhs, Melanaus, Kenyahs, Kayans, Bisayahs, Kelabits, Penans and Muruts; while the latter include the Chinese and other Asians, as well as a few Europeans. You may read more about Sarawak here.

The photo was cropped to focus more on the lady. Did some touch up to get rid of the flash reflection from her forehead.

I seldom do potrait, your critiques and comments are welcome.
