The beachhead at Pantai Kerachut is unlike any other you find in Penang - its sands are softer to the touch and have an almost powdery feel to it... unlike the rougher, larger-grained beach sand you find at the common beach areas up and down Tanjung Bungah/Batu Ferringhi.
Perhaps this could be due to the fact Pt. Kerachut is pretty isolated vs. its more "popular" cousins along PG's tourist beach strip: the only way to get to Pt. Kerachut is via a 20-min speedboat ride, or a 2 hour hike through a path that winds through the jungle.
Snapped this from behind a tree - intended to capture the stark contrast of the the tree's branches, with the jetty playfully peeking out from behind.
Kerachut - a great place to unwind and bask in the sun.
