Photographer’s Note
A scene in old Georgetown...inspired by some partially desaturated shots I just saw on TE.
Although this might be sacriledge, because I erased the blue for which this house is so famous. Same location as my previous upload. More info below.
I'll include the original in WS. Let me know what you think.

The first time we visited the Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion, there was still a lot of work to be done. The architects and historians in charge showed us around and complained about the high-rises a bit further up the street and the many difficulties they faced doing restauration work in Penang.
These days this wonderful mansion, which because of its striking colour is commonly known as 'the blue mansion', houses a splendid hotel and has become one of the top attractions of Georgetown.

Note: The rikshaws did not belong to the mansion. In fact, they're not even Malaysian. They were brought in for the filming of the French movie Indochine.

Hi benny,
very interesting photo, even without the changes with software, I feel it will look good because the different shapes [curves, rectangles, cylinder] come together really well

good one . May be, if that arch was complete, it would have been better.

Bonjour Benny;
Beaucoup de chose intéressante dans cette photo
- le noir et blanc,
- les superbes couleurs de la lanterne
- les courbes des arches
l'ensemble de la composition avec ce super 'pousse-pousse'
Bonne journée
