Penang Clan pier 2 Photo

Photographer’s Note

Two days ago I uploaded a Penang sunset from the historical clan pier. This is the opposite view from the same place, this time towards the Butterworth container terminal north which however cannot be seen in the picture. The Chinese girl pointing to the boat just walked there. She was talking with friends further away. Looking at the beautiful weather you would never think, that only 3 hours before it was pouring down heavily. Such weather changes are typical for monsoon.

Hi Urs: I like shots like this. The red-painted shade and the person pointing out balances well with this boat. Details are flawless and the sky was very cooperative in bringing out this beautiful image. Well done and best regards. Jusni

Hi Urs,
Very attractive colors here. I like the clear white, red, and blue. Looking closer the water on the lower right is green. Could it be the effect of angle of sun & shadow? Never been to this water settlement for more than 20 years. Next time I go back to my home town (Sg Bakap, Seberang Perai) I will take a look at the village again. Regards. Latiff.

Hello Urs,

a very beautiful festival of blue colors with a superb sky with clouds. The boat in the FG give a greta depht to the image. Interesting element of life too woth the black silhouet. Image rich in details well collected.

Yes Urs, after heavy rain the weather become nice and bright. Here the sky is fine. Soft light falls over everything. The detailling of the boat here I like most. The red shed gives nice contrast to the rest. Depth is good. Well saturated colour and well sharpened shot. Very well done. Tfs.

I like this one a lot, Urs. The proximity of the boat, the vibrant colors, the excellent view into the distance and of course, the girl pointing. She is actually a funny bonus...I wonder if her friends are fishes :))) I like the detail of the boat's red nose somehow also interplaying with the girl's finger.
