Hello friends in TE.

This is a view along Gurney drive in Georgetown, Penang. The small fisherman boats make this little nook like a marina from this view.

Gurney Drive, otherwise known as Persiaran Gurney, is perhaps one of the most well-known places in Penang. Often referred to as ‘The New Esplanade’ (to differentiate it from the original Esplanade in George Town), Gurney Drive is a deluge of hawker delights and exciting restaurants that come alive at nighttime, giving the unique experience of dining by the sea.

The picture is very interesting and very beautiful!
Sharpness, exposure, dof and soft colors are excellent!
The pov was a very good choice too!
The composition is simple but effective and attractive!
I love seeing those modern highrises and all the nature around: trees, plants, rocks and sea! Those boats added beauty to the image too!

Hello,
Very nice horizontal lines in the boats which contrast with the vertical lines of the sky scrapers. Then you have a nice line of trees that both give the photo depth and separate the horizontal from the vertical. That is all to say, nice composition.

Hello Jusni,
I spent a very pleasant holiday in Penang about six years ago, so it is pleasing to see it again. A fine composition, where the foreground greenery makes an interesting frame; at the same time creating a sense of depth and offering a contrast with the lighter tones of the background. I like how the high rise blocks recede into the background following the shoreline. Good colours and sharpness.

I love your green vegetation between the city scape.

Hi Jusni,

this city looks very modern. The tall buildings in diagonal work very well to make the scene dynamic. There is also a nice contrast between them and the simple fishing boats and that's quite harmonic and pleasant. Great work!

Salam Jusni,
a lovely perspective that drives the eyes to stepping down of the highbildings forming an unseen composition of exploitation. Seeing it or not, is not the question but exploiting it is the key word.
Nice taken with good lighting to expose the so call, the famous Gurney Drive.

Often small fishermen are forced out of prime areas of the coast, but I think we can strike a balance between divergent interests. Very beautiful composition showing the modern and the traditional side of the city. Excelent colors, light and sharpness.

Now I know, with whom Foozi went to Penang, that was you! Interesting what different photographs you to produced at the same spot. Even the light must have been a bit different. Your shot looks a bit hard, I do not know the reason, perhaps the contrast should be softer. It could have happened in procession after downsizing. I had that problem before. Otherwise your shot is a bold monsoon cloud shot with skyscrapers. WEll done

So Georgetown is a modern city. Looks nice organized and functional. We are all proud to show the modern dimension of our life. But in our soul we are looking for romantic corners. Isn't it, dear Jusni friend!?

I have to agree with Urs, the shot does look a little over on the contrast.
Hard not to with that light.
Excellent POV, your shot shows the city well.
Always wanted to see what Georgetown looked like.

The fine point of view places the buildings with nice diagonally falling lines!
Sharp fine details and the strong foreground creates great dept in the image...
Interesting colour palette, where the green of nature actually dominates this urban scene!
