Penang's Tanjong Marina Photo

Photographer’s Note

Currently Penang has three anchorages and two public marinas, among them the most centrally located certainly is the Tanjong City Marina with 102 berths which replaced the century-old Church Street Pier. This marina has a floating breakwater that partly shields boats from the ferry’s wake and wave. The Penang ferry service has its island pier next to the Tanjong City Marina. In the Background of the picture are the yellow cranes of the Butterworth Container Terminal North which is accessible only from the mainland.

Hello Urs,

I like that outrigger in front, seems like a vessel that an cross the Seven Seas!
But I guess the Indonesian/Filipino archipelago can offer some great sailing too, provided you stay away from the typhoons...
A well framed documentary with good lines, attractive clouds in the back!

The marina is nice one like many other all around the globe .Right thing from you to post this but i see the "mountain" of clouds in BG and i like it.
