Pre-World Wars Shophouses now abandoned. Trees and creepers are taking over the block. The second floor had been the family quarters.

The advertisement on the banner says, "Easy Business Loan". Believe me you will not want to take up a loan from these people ... many are acting as loan sharks!

Update:
I think the North South Highway has contributed to the stagnation of smaller towns situated along the old trunk road ... more so for Bukit Tambun because it is located off the old trunk (federal) road. Other parts of Bukit Tambun are going through an economic & construction revival now ... mostly due to the New Penang Stadium nearby & the planned construction of the new Penang bridge.

Hello Latiff. This is actually a very well framed architecture or ruins depending on how one looks at it. I have always passed by Kampong Kepayang near Ipoh before the highway came to operation and this was the familiar sight then. I am not sure about your hometown, Bukit Tambun but looks like a rather sad ending to once a happy family quarters. Well, someone out there might give it a go for the easy financing offered. :) Well done and thanks for sharing. Regards. Jusni

Hi Latiff,

very good frontal capture. The details are really good. I like to see the textures of that old building. Your composition is successful in its colors and contrasts. Well done!

Carlos

Hi Latiff,

Here is an example of a difficult situation of drastic difference of brightness and darker area all apperaing in the same picture. I guess you have done quite well wil a low F-Stop and aperture setting.

Adam

Hi Latiff,
I look this image after I read the notice with the banner explanation and it makes me dreaming.
Very well captured this old house it is so nice framed with the green around.
Have a nice time.

hi Latiff

Very well documented shot, good contrast and details. Well done exposure against the bright blue sky, even though the entire building is in shadow. Good work

It's always interesting to see how abandoned buildings are being taken over by vegetation and disappearing.
It looks like some heavy post-processing was done to recover shadow details. Final result is quite good.

hej Latiff
there's a lot of details in this fascinating building i would like to have a close up on, I Have a feeling of that this image would work perfectly in BW.
There's a thing going on i S-E asia now that reminds a lot of earlier mistakes made in Europe when a lot of the old architecture and is falling in pieces as the authorities don't see it as a cultural treasures, so my advise is keep on take loads of photos on those environments as they soon may be gone.
terima kasi
Anders

Hello latiff,

I like to make brownfields, and I know how it's so difficult to pass the atmosphere of an abandoned building in photography. Here, you knew how to take this abandoned building, sharpness and BOV are good like your framing.
Congratulation.

Regards,
Damien.

Hi Latiff,
just detecting that you now offer us some from Malaysia. That house on its way to be hidden in future in its grey and green with the bright spot of sky is attracting. I like the good exposure for details but also the shadows as strong as necessary.

Hello Latiff,
a great eye to catch this tunning left overs of development. The colour is very debse to identify the ancient and old buildings. It is so haphazard and disorganised, so your intention is justified....great composition and well thought subject.

Foozi
