Photographer’s Note
I took this shoot in Tanjung Rhu Langkawi. Supposely I was enjoying the beauty of nature (even under tremendrous hot sun) but I saw this fishing boat...
A fishing boat with two old couples on it. My heart was wondering, where is their children? Most of the young children has gone to bigger town to look for a better living. Some of them is so busy with their daily activities and did not even bother to call their parents even once a month.
The reason? Simple..I am too busy, telephone charges is expensive, too tired and many other reasons.
The fact? They are having a drink with their friends, Too much call for their girlfriend or boyfriend, come home too late hanging out.
Has this particular group of people ever remember how their parents raise them? As for this couple they may have to fish till the old days to raise their children and for their own cost of living.
With reference to the title of this picture "Kembalilah KeSisi Mu" meant "Please Return To Me" I urge for those who may have forgotten to call our parents today, Please call them and tell them how much they mean to you.
PS: This picture was taken with monochrome setting with additional red filter to enhance the contrast. Post editing was done with PS CS3.

Hello Adam,
Like a scene from an old P Ramlee's film. Nice gunung background & a bit of island. I like the grainy look. This is quite a zoom. Salam. Latiff.

hello Adam
I think you have done a great shot for this B&W to show the old couple which is very rare if at all to be found in our country. Old age does not allow them much chance at sea.
But your capture is as good a question as in your note. Because it is very unlikely Malay couples will live without children, at most they will adopt?

Hello Adam,
I must say that this is an interesting subject and the composition with the mountain backdrop is excellent. A very touching note too though both of my parents are long gone.
At ISO100, I am puzzle by the noise even on a B&W. Perhaps, due to the 300mm zoom.

Dear Adam,
Thank you for reminding me of my mum. Well...not that I have had forgotten her. How could I forget the first love of my life yes?
I believed you have had done more than just taking this couple in monochrome. You too have purposely added grains to make this into a retro work. It reminded me of the photos in the grandparent's albums. Gritty, sepia and with a strong feeling of yesteryears.
Dear Adam, you also might like to rephrase your title. The appropriate phrase is "Kembalilah Ke Sisi Ku", which means Come Back To Me. Your title actually means Come Back To You :)
Regards
Bani
