[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Public Work Department in Perlis have taken the initiative to have these honeycomb retaining walls on all flyovers. They are painted in bright colors. This picture was taken from the car window at a junction while stopping at the traffic light.

Hi Jusni, ok 1st critique, go!

These walls are technically termed as reinforced or anchored walls. Some of them now come with carvings on it depicting Malaysia logo etc.

Painting them is a new thing, one problem though will be severe deterioration of paint under harsh Malaysian weather - need to touch up or repaint after a while.

You have captured one half view here at nice angle. I am particularly impressed with what is shown on the side mirror reflection, at the same frame displaying another bridge crossing behind and it has quite good sharp clarity, very good indeed.

As I said before, your skill picks up quick and I am following up on your gallery to do check-mate.

Although the sky is downcast and boringly pale white, the bright light cheers up this image.

You captured this junction with no traffic in sight, although I also note in the side mirror that a truck is approaching behind.

It will be perfect shot if I can see clearly if the traffic light is working - I do seem to see the red signal at top?

p/s (How many of us are observant enough to know that red/stop is at top, orange/wait is middle, green/go is at bottom of light pattern?)

As you can notice, you have done well here in this shot.

TFS, cheers
Bill

A good composition with a strong diagonal line in the overpass. It's too bad there isn't a similar wall in the reflection of your car mirror.

Hello Jusni,
Very impressive to see this photo captured with the readiness of your camera even when driving!
go to it, man!
I can see the truck and cars coming from the rear in your reflection mirror!
always stand by with your camera with the right time and the right moment, I think most of photographers do!
thanks for sharing
terima kasih
Tony

My dear Jusni,
You know, when someone started a comment by being so nice, you know what's coming would not be as good :)

If the honeycomb wall means that much to you to show, get closer and without anything else distracting or competing in the photo unless as an add on or complimentary additive to your scene. From where I'm sitting, I would park my car somewhere and walk back here, to get a better graphical impression of this honeycomb wall. Like you did with your VW.

Please don't shoot me :)
