TAIPING RESORT : A LUSH OASIS IN THE FOOTHILLS OF TAIPING
Nestled in a lush hillock amidst manicured tropical gardens and idyllic lotus ponds, Taiping Resort is possibly the silver state of Perak's best kept secret.
Accessible yet discreet, this secluded heaven lies a mere 10-minutes' drive from the North South Highway. Previously known as Bukit Jana Golf & Country Club, the dense jungle of Bukit Jana provide magnificent hill view.
The perfect retreat for the leisure and business traveler alike, Taiping Resort will surely leave you feeling pampered, revitalized and eagerly looking forward to your next visit. Created as an oasis for relaxation, business comfort and recreation, Taiping Resort is the ideal destination for a whole spectrum of visitors. From holidaymakers, golfers and other outdoor enthusiasts; to corporate guests seeking a venue for banquets, meeting or conventions.
Taiping is a town in the state of Perak, Malaysia. With a population of 191,104 (2007)[citation needed], it is the second largest town in Perak after Ipoh, the state capital. It took over from Kuala Kangsar as the state capital from 1876 to 1937, but was then replaced by Ipoh[1]. Its development slowed down after that, but in recent years the town has begun developing rapidly again.
Taiping also receives some limelight as the wettest town in Peninsular Malaysia. The average annual rainfall is about 4,000mm in Taiping while the peninsula’s average is 2,000mm – 2,500mm. Its unusual rainfall has also blessed its Lake Gardens with a fertile and splendid collection of flora and century-old rain trees.

Hey Foozi,
A beautiful photo from your exotic parts, and I`d like to change the scenery from our blistering cold to your humid and hot. :) In any case, a successful shot, with idyllic colors. It`d certainly be a place where I could relax. Thanks for sharing.
Best regards.

Foozi,
This is a beautiful image filled with the tropical atmosphere. Very nice strong colors and rich tone. Perhaps the shadow area is a little bit to strong in contrast. But beautiful composition. Thanks

hello Foozi
I have visited both Taiping and Ipoh before. Food is a delight to enjoy in Ipoh.
Very nice capture of the club house and garden like view here with good composition of the scenery. Informative note about Taiping and its history is well given. On my screen I see much dark shadow and high saturation. Good POV.

Hello Foozi,
A pleasing composition with a strong diagonal!
The rich colour palette is outstanding and the tree in full blossom is an eye-catcher...
This view is nice on a rainy and foggy day like I have today, hehehe!
Greetings,
Pablo -
