this is taken when i went back to my frandfather's townm a very small town with only 2 roads, and small timber houses....

this sight gave me a shock, it looks like a volcano - but we are lucky not to have volcanoes in our country. my Grandfather told me it's a forest fire at the mountains, due to the heat and drought in this little town, which is the driest in the state.

the temperature was 41 degrees, and it had not rained for more than a week. i feel sad for the animals and the virgin forest up in the mountains....nature are being destroyed daily, a sad but true phenomena....

no pp work. hope u like my photo....it's just a sharing of my thoughts and daily life....

Very sad. We animals have to live in harmony with trees. We need us each other. When a fire destroy a forest is killing us.
You photo is very good as document and as a reason for thinking. For being also better from the artistic side I think you can cut the roofs of the bottom.

bonsoir eleen.
Ta photo est bien composée, le dessus des toitures puis la montagne au loin donnent bien et cette fumée a du être inquiétante.
Belle photo.

good evening eleen.
Your photograph is quite made up, the top of the roofs then the mountain with far gives well and this smoke has being worrying.
Beautiful photograph.

Very nice photo, no way to fight a forest fire on that steep mountain even if there were the resources to do so. Sometimes nature has a way of thinning out the forests, small forest fires reduce the amount of dry brush that can cause a really bad forest fire that can't be stopped. This looks like a beautiful country, thank you for sharing this photo.
Sharp, and clear, nice colors too.

Very interesting Eleen. Excellent note too. I also thought it was a volcano from the thumbnail. TFS. Cheers, John.

Oh!
first time I think it's a volcano,but you said it's forest fire!
well captured, nice view, and beautiful place your grandPa lives:)
POV is good and composition well managed,I like it,Eleen.

Good to show it to us. It's again a warning that, even it wasn't mans fault this time, we should be careful with our world.

Yes, this is a sad picture, altough it's a good one too. Good composition, with first the house, then the trees and finally the mountain. Well done!

Very nice photo Eleen. The first time I saw your photo, I though it was a volcano.
Well done.

Mountains are always beautiful. This one is astonish. Well done.

Hi Eleen,
This is sad but as long as it wasn't set on fire by some crazy person, like it happens in california, it's not as bad. This is the way of nature. I'm sure you'll have your share of rain soon.. Thanks for sharing..

At first glance i thought it was a vulcano. I hope it's not the tobacco smokers who are producing these clouds ! Seriously, it's sad for the animals but also for the whole nature. Very good photo.
