Photographer’s Note
Still a photo from Japanese Village, Bukit Tinggi Berjaya Hill Resort. Photo taken from a pond in front of a Japanese Restaurant, just after raining, the leaves still wet. I am happy these fishes all come to me!
Kois that show at above photo is Nishikigoi. Nishikihoi is a new species of hybridization between Koi and Asian fish.
In Asia, the earliest record about koi as meals was found on a bronze implement in China, dated 823BC. Thousand years later, when Chinese found some other fishes are more delicious as meals, then the koi was abolished from main recipes.

The Common carp or European carp (Cyprinus carpio) is a widespread freshwater fish related to the common goldfish (Carassius auratus), with which it is capable of interbreeding. It gives its name to the carp family Cyprinidae. Common carp are native to Asia and Eastern Europe. It has been introduced into environments worldwide, and is often considered an invasive species.
Koi (錦鯉 (Nishikigoi) in Japanese, 鯉魚 (pinyin: lĭ yú) in Chinese) is a domesticated ornamental variety that originated in China but became known to the Western world through Japan.

Here it is the big family, Ally :))) After seeing them isolated in previous posts it's nice to see this close approach. The image is superb with sharp and clear details, both on the fishes and on the leaves. Some of the closer fishes even seem to be floating above the water surface. Beautiful effect from the reflections too.

Hello Ally, that's a very very beautiful and eye-catching photo even more fantastic than the previous one. As far as I can see, there is not so much difference between Nishikigoi and Koi fishes, despite hybridization. The presence of the water plants above adds vividness and richness to your composition.
Best regards,
Tolga

Bonjour Ally.
Cette photo est une merveille. J'aime les couleurs des poissons et la vie qu'ils donnent à la composition. Les plantes font un bon contraste avec ces poissons bien dans la tradition des jardins japonais.
Excellent !

Hi Ally,
The fishes (we call them "goldfish", but I have not known that they can really be of gold color) look perfectly. The golden ones seem to be more attractive than those of red and white colors. In general, the photo was captured very professionally.

I bet they thought you were gong to feed them! :D You framed the image well with the inclusion of the leaves at the top. You could set up a theme for all your Japenese village images.

Hello Ally:
An unusual scene in your photos, but very striking, especially by the whole tone and contrast, both in fish and in the plants.
There are sharpening and dynamism, and this provides an interesting composition.

Hello Ally,
excellent photo; very good composition. I like all the details of it - the colourful fishes, the green leaves, the feeling of Life... and the dynamism which is created by the fishes' movement. The water looks incredibly perfect and natural.
I like the depth in this picture, and its very bright cheerful colours. In grey cold November it's the right photo to see :)

Hi Ally,
The reflections in the water are assets to the composition. The point of view is allowing us to see the details and colors of the fishes. The image is clear and precise. The scenery is well frame. The light brings out the colors and is giving them a good contrast. Have a nice day.

Hello Ally,
The Koi are such funny fish!
The way they swim in the surface gives an impression they are curious to see what is going on above water, hehehe...
And of course they are very eye-catching because of the colours!
This is a fine capture with sharp fine details and natural colours...
Greetings,

The diversity of the fish colours is well caught in this picture and remembers me the garden ponds. I lived in a village ( Valada ) and the name`s river is ( Tejo ). Really fishermen fish carps but there are no colourful ones. But I remember to see some whatever is not normal. I hope fishing here will be fobidden. Warm regards. Domingos
