Photographer’s Note

Kuantan Mosque is on the east coast of peninsular Malaysia, & a 5 hour drive east of KL. It's one of the most attractive mosques in Malaysia, imho.

I uploaded another shot of this at dusk, several months ago.

hi chris, i cannot resist opening a shot with an islamic architecture, they build such great examples of masterpiece; like this one for instance, with predominant islamoc blue colour; i really love this image, and the archi it presents;

I agree with you, this is a beautiful example of islamic architecture. The colors are superb and I like the strong contrast between the blue-white buildings and the red design on the ground. Your POV is very goo too!

What a pretty mosque ! The colours stand out really well against the lovely blue sky. The main dome is perfect under the cloud to help the constrast. Great depth.

That's a very good one Chris, good perspective,deep balanced colortones red/rose/blue, the last pleasantly dominating by the paintings on the building with some clear contrasting turquoise and the deep blue white clouded sky, lots of details brought by your angle to get a total impression of the complexity of this mosque.
A very pleasing well defined colored impression.

A very well composed shot of this colourful mosque. I like your POV here, as you have just the right amount of foreground with the rich red tile clearly seen. The numerous lines and graphics take the eye in every direction. The fine details of architecture are clearly seen. A very successful shot.

Hi Chris. A Malaysian mosque in Greek colours! A very attractive building with lovely lines, and captured against a very sympathetic sky. I like the dark shapes of the conifers - they provide nice contrast.

Good angle here to show a great number of superb architectural elements, quality of the scan is excellent and as a detail I like the red foreground pavement that adds a nice color touch to the otherwise white & blue color set.

Guten Tag Chris,
I'm a 'fan' of Sinan, an architectural 'multi talent' of the 16th century in Turkey, leaving hundreds of buildings like mosques (his masterpieces), palaces, harems, chapels, tombs, schools, caravansaries, granaries, fountains, aqueducts and hospitals...

Well I have to admit, fascinating architecture too.

Hi Chris, I like this well composed shot. You have managed to get a nice contrast under the sun. The red and the blue colors made nice contrast to the water base of the building. Good details and nice sharpness.

This is a stunning architectural shot, Chris, with amazing clarity.

Beautiful matching colours - which help to link the mosque to the heavens.
