Photographer’s Note

Although I was chooise the location as Nilai ( it is where the airport located), but the flight was already flying above the Malacca Strait.

It is not a good idea sleeping on the daylight flight, the outside view is amazing and impressive.

Nice shot Ally;

It's not easy to post aerial shots as most have a tendency of looking the same and being un-interesting. But I think you have done a good job here as this one has a definitive focal point (the large cloud mass). Good contrast and natrual colors.

What an amazing cloud formation from the sky. And yes, it does look like antactica in my imagination. I'l glade you have that imagination to dream out your destination. This like a magical landscape in itself. It's like a landcape cover with now in the forrest and the mountain in the middle. Great shot. I love it as Daniel said, not easy to shoot something interest from an air plan. This one is wonderful.

A magnificent shot of the towering thunderhead. I like the blue & white colors. At this altitude, the outside air temperature, would be similar to Antarctica. Tfs!

So you are back from Bali, safe and sound. Your Antarctica is amazing, even it turns out to be clouds. It really could be mistaken as the Antarctica, especially the "mountain" at the left or the one in the BG. These two "mountain" also boost DOF. The sharpness is fine and the colors, they really are great in all hues of white and blue. Well done

The point of view project our eyes toward infinity which is giving depth to the composition. It is also showing the details and colors of the layers of clouds. The light is enhancing the colors of the picture. Well done, have a nice day.

From my frequent long haul trips to Australia over the last couple of years, I have never seen something quite as impressive as this. Your photo is stuningly clear and sharp as if you could open the tiny aircraft window to take this shot. Most of the time, I encountered badly scratched, dirty or blurry window which makes it exptremely difficult to shoot. It does look like Antartica in the thumbnail:))))

It is a very impressive cloud-scape, thanks to the higher clouds. It's not easy to compose a shot through the window as options are limited, but you timed your shot well, as the higher cloud was in a great place compositionally.

This formation of clouds looks like a mountain! very beautiful, indeed! and the WS photo is VERY dynamic and looks a bit fantastic, as if this view invites us to enter another world or another dimension (in a way this WS photo reminds me of "The Langoliers" by S. King).

Amazing light! luminous white of cloud towering on white great plains is truly splendid.
Although I also like to watch clouds from plane's windows, I've never come across such magnificent scene.

Hello Ally, I always take a seat near a window if possible because I don't want to miss views like this but unfortunately I have never been so fortunate. Fantastic cloud formation, it looks like snow or ice. Well captured with beautiful colour & exposure that is just about perfect.
