Photographer’s Note
23 JANUARY 2003, SEREMBAN, MALAYSIA
This footpath through one of Seremban's southern streets is decivingly quiet but paints a romantic picture of still-used and previously-loved Chinese shophouses under ownership of the same family for many generations.

I really like your perspective here.
The shot is well framed and the use of a black outer frame looks nice.
Good Job.

very interesting picture..old texture of walls, chinese lanterns, shiny concrete and shiny bikes...all in an arhed area which gives semicircular light and it is always good to me...

Interesting shot, and I'm particularly interested in this view of Seremban, my quied book (lonley panet) doesn't think there much worth seeing there, but I've really got very fond of these shop houses.

hi Michael, nice picture, i like the repetition of thos arcs, nice too see bikes there too... but you know, someone bassing by in the middle of the frame would help a lot ;) what about a bit of patience next time? just compose and wait... it works sometimes

Great framing, the arches are off-centered and pull you into the picture. My eyes keeps exploring the details around each arch. The deep red color and a bit of white paint is very appealing too.

Yeah, this is cool, I really like the shades of red and the lantern at the top of the image gives context to the Chinese theme you described in your note. The perspecive is just incredible here and the scooters act as nice "stepping stones" from one part of the image to the other. Nothing to nit pick here. Well done!

No need to repeat one more time, but really, this is a great picture that well transports the author's message.
Thanks for sharing, Mike!
