Photographer’s Note
February 2006, Seremban, Malaysia
Another scene from a Seremban bike repair shop I came across while walking the town's streets. A bit more shop and a few more bikes visible.

Good daily life shot. The b/w conversion came out pretty nice, some good tones in there, technically I cant fault this shot. The tilt yields some strangeness to an otherwise pretty common scene. I like this photo.

SHot at the 20mm end of that zoom, tilted to boot, another suprisingly dynamic shot, Mike. I like that the fellow sitting down turns around to face you. It's that rare shot - an absolutely , nothing special happening everyday scene...that somehow grabs you and won't let go.
Good on ya,
Francis

I quite like the dynamic titled angle. I would thought a country like Malaysia should have been taken in colour because there full of colours in every where, but now I just have to trash the idea... Great capture in mono-toned photo. It even give more impression of the secne, and it makes me look more into the life in there. Great work.

A brilliant use of the wide lens and perspective control. The natural light is beautifully subtle and the tonal range is just great. Geometric elements have combined to give this rather dingy location quite an elegant view.

All the disparate elements here somehow add to the overall composition rather than distracting. With such a wide dynamic range it's great that you have such a good overall exposure. The shot is probably strengthened by the gaze into the camera as well.
