Sampan, a photo from Negeri Sembilan, West

Hello friends in TE.

A Sampan is a relatively flat bottomed Chinese wooden boat from 3.5 to 4.5 meteres (approximately twelve to fifteen feet) long. Some sampans include a small shelter on board, and may be used as a permanent habitation on inland waters. Sampans are generally used for fishing or transportation, in coastal areas or rivers. It is unusual for a sampan to sail far from land as they do not have the means to survive rough weather.

This image was captured in Negeri Sembilan State Museum. I was using my Samsung Galaxy S2 mobile phone with Vignette App for Android. The color was set to Portra tone.

Bright and cheerful revealing in the way that a still life can often give one a glimpse of unseen beauty. Lovely innovative ideas and approach, I think this is an excellent debut shot, for me the technique works well here bright, lovely rich contrasting colours, an array of the stuff just jump out at me and I thought this makes an interesting different kind of image. A simple subject brilliantly treated with nice touch of local cultures and flavour. My congrats
