This is a close up shot of the Christ Church in Malacca built in the year 1753 by the Dutch to commemorate their centenary occupation of Malacca. When the British took over in the year 1795, they put in some of their own additions like the weathercock atop the bell tower see here!
This church took 12 years to complete and on the right you can see the buidling that is part of the Stadhuys - one of the oldest Dutch buildings left in the far east.
The Malaysian flags were put up for the 50th independence day celebration recently.

thats a good angle you chose with the overhanging roof line and the tree..it keeps the image steady
clean and clear exposure with adequate lighting to show detail and create contrasts
glad you mentioned the flags..i wondered if they were something to do with the church
