I saw this man praying at the Cheng Hoon Temple in Malacca. He obviously has a lot of things to pray for - i saw him kneeling down (as in this photo), standing up and then keep repeating this routine for a long, long time saying his prayers all the time. The Chinese Taoist people prays by kneeling, holding joss sticks and lighting candles, look "up" to heaven and say your prayers, aspirations or whatever requests that you wish to be bless with. He was in a world of his own, dwarfed by the giant urns of joss sticks and all the time keeping his eyes on his heaven!
This temple's main deity is the Goddess of Mercy or Kwan Yin as the Chinese call her, one of the many deities in the Chinese taosim beliefs.
If there are a lot of people praying, you will notice that some temple helpers will once every couple of minutes remove the over congested joss sticks and candles, extinguish their flames and throw them away. This is to allow new people to be able to pray.

different ceremony and worship.thank you

Hi Tan,
Nice composition of the man performing the ritual in the midst of all the relevant objects. The image quality is not so good ... perhaps due to cropping & low light situation. Anyway, a good daily life subject for TE. Regards. Latiff.

PS: In recent months I see a lot of Malaysian men wearing those kind of bracelets. Something to do with health & blood circulation?

Hallo Tan!
I "walked around" in your collection and this one caught my eyes. A beautiful and impressiver photo with a lot of interesting details - for central European eyes. It's everywhere the same, most of people need a footing, something one can address to and your picture shows this, especially in combination with your good note, very well. At contribution in the sense of TE!
Greetings from autumnal cool and rainy Germany!
