[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a closer view of another portion of the roof of the Cheng Hoon Teng temple - the oldest chinese temple in Malaysia - 400 years old to be exact!
The architecture of the temple is very well maintained until today. Over the years indeed there have been some maintenance and minor alteration work but basically the temple has remained the same. This temple has elements that aligns to taoism, confusianism and Chinese-Buddhism - according to the tourists information board.
The rooftop has very intricate designs with lots of carved figurines and delicate roof tiles from the early centuries. This photo shows a section of the intricate rooftop. The figurines are so detailed - its amazing to note the expertise of those craftsman!

Hi Tan. I like this photo as it shows excellent minute details of the Oriental style roof. It is really a form of art. The clear blue sky makes the ideal backdrop. TFS. Murray.

PS: I like the architecture in Melaka but usually find it so hot!
