Cheng Hoon Teng temple - the oldest chinese temple in Malaysia - 400 years old to be exact! The architecture of the temple is very well maintained until today. Over the years indeed there have been some maintenance and minor alteration work but basically the temple has remained the same. This temple has elements that aligns to taoism, confusianism and Chinese-Buddhism - according to the tourists information board.
The rooftop has very intricate designs with lots of carved figurines and delicate roof tiles from the early centuries. This photo shows a section of the intricate rooftop.
I have posted a photo of the actual temple in workshop. |

Hello Tan,
I like this one. Nice close up showing much interesting details. Wonderful colors & saturation. Nice polarized sky. Well composed & well chosen part of the temple to focus on. I think it's one of the best temple relief I've seen on TE. Congratulations.
Regards. Latiff.

Hi Tan,
I love the texture of the old roof tiles and the old architecture figures on the roof. Simply strong in chinese tradition culture and neednt much to enhance the effect further.
