Masjid Selat Melaka (or Malacca Strait Mosque) is located on the island of Pulau Melaka, about 0.5km off the coast of Melaka city. This man-made island involved the reclamation of two sand-bar islets, each measuring 40ha and 50ha. There is a bridge linking the mainland to Pulau Melaka.
This was taken from the balcony of my hotel room (on the mainland) before sunrise. The hotel is more or less directly across the mosque, about 0.5km away separated by a lagoon. |
