When it comes to photography, think Zen. Art Of Simplicity. It could also be Complexity In Harmony. It is about introducing your subject in a different, artistic with impact.It is about the play of light and shadow, tone and textures. And making sure your subject is not "overshadowed" by the background.
Your photo here has correct exposure but nothing in your subject, the rambutan, is pulling the viewer. You need to get the viewer's attention first.
They sure taste so good! I like the backlighting effect.
