I don't remember which city I took this picture in sadly. But I do remember it was on my recent travels in Malaysia.
Perhaps someone recognises the location. (I'll take a punt and say somewhere in Kuala Lumpur).
I do remember seeing a similar temple to this in Singapore's Chinatown area with all types of images and icons hanging off it. This one is much the same type and has a variety of items on the sides of it.
I didn't want to crop the picture, because the natural clutter around the temple show it in its community environment. A jumble of odd buildings and weird colours add to the context.

This photo has potential to be quite good. Unfortunately, the lack in sharpness (perhaps from zoom) really detracts from the photo. Your title is apt, as the temple is really just kind of situated in the middle of nowhere. I don't like the yellow flag that interferes with the view, using simple cloning, taking it out would have really added to the photo. The surrounding clutter is good, but the flagpole is just too close and distracting.
