I have seen dozens of photographs of the 88-storey Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur on TrekEarth, but I have not seen any from this POV. This is an eye-level view of the double deck skybridge which links levels 41 and 42 at 170 metres above the ground. The main towers are on the far left and right of this picture, whilst the smaller tower on the right which ends at level 44 is one of the two side towers that are attached to the northern side of the Twin Towers. The gantry on top of the side tower is for cleaning the windows.
This picture also shows the power of a good 300mm lens on a digital camera. It was taken from level 41 of an apartment block 2.5km away (from exactly the same position as the two photographs that I posted yesterday and the day before were taken). The definition is excellent – and this is still half the size of the original which I have reduced to 800 pixels in order to post here on TE. This was actually the first time I had seen people on the bridge. You can't see them from the ground, and you can't see them with the naked eye from where I took this photograph.

Wow. Incredible shot that you caught that from 2.5 kms away. Cool shot, this is my first picture I have seen of these towers here, but I am familiary with them, they are incredible structures. Very cool shot, and nice capture on it too. Thanks for the note, it added a lot as well.

I know Kuala Lumpur, but only the airport !
The Nikkor AF-S 300mm ED is a very good choice (a little bit expansive !). At this far distance I think you need to correct contrast to reduce fog (perhaps smog...) effect. Before reading your note I have think that whas a shot from helicopter. Excuse my poor English !

Very well compsed, this kind of shot is rare indeed! Nice zoom! Lovely details, side elevation that we all rarely see, I see people too! The scale of this towers are amazing, GREAT shot, now I don't know what POV should I take, I'll come up with something (nothing great) when I have the time...I'm actually here below the Petronas (inside the Suria KLCC) writing to you...just cooling off inside the mall for awhile before I proceed with my next meeting :)
All the best!
