Different type of sun clocks are found around the world in old time, the above photo is showing a type of old sun clock dubbed Equatorial bow sundial.
I'm lucky that the sun is shine when I looking onto this sun clock, the sundial shadow is falling onto 15:00, it is match to the time when this photo is shoot.
Some other type of astronomy observators are displaying in the garden of National Planetarium too.

Nice detail photo showing this interesting sun clock. You got it in very good light. The use of selective colour is a real stand out. Well done. Greetings, Miro

Sundials are anciennt wisdom, like windmills and aqueducts, show how in old time employed nature for what we consider trivial.
Fabulous old stuff, simple aparatus - but sure doe's show the right time.
With your pernission i will add this to my "Sundials" theme.
Good evening from Israel,

The tight frame is alloweing me to distingish the details and colours of the sun clock. It is clear and sharp. The good luminosity is making the colours to stand out. Have a nice day.

The color and shape of the sundial are very eye-catching. This is an informative photo with good presentation. Looking at the full size, I am wondering if there is some post-processing artifact in the lower front part of the gnomon. What would make this perfect would be if the upper ends of the scale were not cropped out.
All that said, the color and detail are perfect.

I've really seen many kinds of sun clocks, but like this one I think I had never seen! It's really original, and you captured it with very good light and colors, and a good framing to show the details. Excellent job!

That's an interesting looking time machine and the contrasting colours to die for, i find the dark black background is superb isolating the sun clock from distractions. Indeed a rare find to share with us full of fantastic detail and tones a cracker nice one, Congrats.

All us should make ourselves a sun watch detaching all the gaps correctly. It is the first time I see this configuration in semi-circle. People who have gardens certainly have all the good conditions for such experiences. But thinking in the sun projection and the earth moving I suddenly thought in my house in Valada where I have lived. The window door of my room had a hole. Having the window closed during the day the surrounding field was ever projected on the wall upsidedown like a photografic camera. So natural phenomenous ever can be developed. In this case the actual photographic cameras so far became into digital ones. Cameras act like a memory of the events along time. Again going to the space exploration it is interesting how images can be sent to earth. For instance from the international space station. Warm regards. Tomi
