The King of Malaysia is moved into the New Palace at the year 2012, and the old palace is now open to tourists. The above photo is showing the main entrance of New Palace.
MALAYSIA NEW PALACE
According to Nik Mohamed, the new Istana Negara's architecture is a fusion of traditional Malay and Islamic architecture.
Built on 104 hectares (241.3 acres) of land, the main structure of the Istana Negara faces the direction of Makkah and is divided into different levels and wings based on the royal institution's functions.
The main floor is divided into the Official Wing and the Royal Wing. The lower floor houses the administrative office, kitchen, store and other support areas.
Unlike the old palace, which only had two domes, the new one boasts 22 domes with the main one reaching 60 meters high, a reflection of the supremacy of the Agong and Raja Permaisuri Agong within the nation and in society.

The wideness of the square is giving depth to the composittion. The point of view is showing the architecture of the entrance to the palace. The good luminosity is enhancing the colours. Have a nice day.

What a shame, I've still not visited this place. Thank you for posting this outstanding photo. I like the nice symmetrical arrangement and excellent soft, almost pastel colors. Superb viewpoint and excellent arrangement with the empty positive space in front of palace gate. Well done. Greetings, Miro

Very impressive entrance leading to the grand palace and love the decision to go with the panoramic presentation whihc makes it a pleasant view. it really does give a sence of scale to the shot and perspective illustrated by the people and thks the description and the addtional photos guiding us along. Excellent shot, sharp, colourful and excellent contrast to blue sky, credit to your effort, Congrats

With this entry as great, presumably, that the new palace should be the wonder of wonders, but when there is money to spend, you can perform these works.
Sensational POV that shows us with great symmetry.
Magnificent light and good sharpness.
Enjoy the weekend.

This is a magnificient entrance to the palace and like the arc over the gate. A arc with embroidered hand craft. Only now paid attention to the fact that Malaysia has a king. Has it a queen too? Portugal had monarchy even in the last century. King D. Carlos and the queen D. Amélia. However I do not follow the history. I have heard a lot of times about them in school. But the village Porto de Muge near Valada do Ribatejo has a train bridge with her name. I used to pass cross it by bicycle what was forbidden. But people did it as the rural workers. The worse was when the train was coming. People had to stay futher to the sidewards what was not easy for the lack of space. By the way see in google imagines Santarém. This city shows the river Tejo and the beaches at down. The distance by road to Valada is 25 Km. I hope you can show the palace outside or inside. I liked to be with you. Now must take Boby outside and ever stop in a open café. Warm regards. Tomi

interesting gate, make me remember the shapes of the arches in morocco, at same time the small towers are different. nice angle catching well the shapes of the architecture. TFS.

It seems that the New Palace is very nicely designed in traditional architectural style with some modern details. You have photographic it from a good point of view, with well-balanced composition, vivid colors and perfect quality. Excellent presentation of such a good example of the new Malaysian architecture!
