A misty morning or a hazy morning?
Although this photo I was shoot few months ago, but lately and today the weather also like this in my home city Kuala Lumpur, it is not poetic and no good too. The brightness at 7:50am just look like 6:50am at previous years.
We are yearly free imported haze from Indonesia, along few months at the middle of year. Indonesian still using traditional method to clean up their agricultural land, they burning forest, clumps and plantations, but it is satirize that Malaysian were also involed, because investors of this agricultural's industries & enterprises are Malaysian companies.
The air quality and vision able distance are low and situation is become more terrible while come with El Niño & La Niña.
This photo was shoot from a condominium at Ipoh Road, the highway in the photo is Duke Highway, a new highway that start opened to it users since few months ago.
I'm going to visit Indonesia if within this 2 days have no boms attact report from this country.
* My Bali Trip : 05th August 2009 ~ 11th August 2009.

Yes, that is the weather like in KL. Greeting from global warming, what many politicians still do not like to acknowledge. Your pictures shows what effect we have, low visibility, air pollution and health issues. Despite the bad weather you managed to get a fine sharpness and color hues according to the weather. Well done.
Be careful in Indonesia. Bali is not the safest place at all. There sill are some fanatics out there. Perhaps avoid the most popular tourist events, that may help.

good POV and interesting presentation. Perhaps image is a bit dark (my opinion). An interesting note also.

The diagonal line of the new road is an asset to the composition. Threes are framing well the houses and buildings. The point of view is showing the houses and buildings and takes our eyes toward the mountains which is giving depth to the composition. The low light is giving darker colors to the picture. Have a nice day and a good holiday in Bali.

Magnificent view over the city, much as I like to spread, it seems that there are more trees than houses. Although the picture is a little dark, you see quite clearly the landscape.

first of all, after reading your Note, I wish you a safe and very nice trip to where you're going! Please be careful in any case!
The photo looks a bit unusual - because of the lighting conditions and the colours; but it sure has a special mood about it, which I like very much. Composition-wise, a very good photo!
Very best wishes from relatively safe Moscow :)

Beautiful late day shot with a nice bit of mysterious haze.
The distant mountains make a very intresting backdrop to this fine urban scene.

A very good "cityscape" with an impressive contrats between the buildings in the FG and the another buildings. A good propsect to the mountains in the BG too.

It starts to become depressing when you have constant bad weather. It is doubly annoying when it is human activity that is making matters worse. Despite the gloomy weather there are lots of details to see from your high POV. There are several layers- trees, houses, road, high rises, mountains.
Enjoy you trip to Bali

A very attractive morning composition. The beauty of simplicity... not easy to obtain.
Well done my friend!

There is a great sense of depth in this photo, particularly with the layering of landscape as the eyes browse from the FG to the distant BG. The light may not be the best and will not get any better because of the haze. Can you imagine what it would be like if there was a golden sunlight basking the entire landscape? But you wont get that for now. The hazy situation is not getting any better in Kuching.
Enjoy your holiday. Bali should be free from haze.

Yes, weather is changing everywhere. Very nice composition in many different layers. The depth is great.

Une photo qui pose la responsabilité de l'homme sur son environnement. Pour plus de profit l'homme abîme sa planète.
Belle photo avec cette brume qui n'est pas si naturelle que ça.

The great panoramic one that of the city spreading over the valley, I find the slightly dark photo, I think to give itself more luminosity.
I wish a few happy vacations you in Bali, it is a wonderful island and I wait that prompt to enjoy nice photos of there.

Hello Ali, A photo with an important environmental message, people are becoming more aware of it's importance but unfortunately money still dictates in many parts of our precious world. A nice view, clearly visible through the darkness. Hope you have a safe & enjoyable trip. Thanks for an interesting note

In this polluted air you still manage a fairly beautiful shot with rich colors. Yes, I can see the not so clean air hovering over the city. It's is said that many places in Asia is still burning down forrest for planting, but I guess when you live in small villages, Protecting the environment is less important than working the land for food. Very nice shot, giving us a good impression of the city. Thanks
