What the child thinking of?
"Do you painting my back?"
"How you know my back?"
A photo taken at a little paint shop just located beside the Central Market.
There have some paint shops inside and oppesite to Central Market, where this is a indoor market selling souvenirs, traditional handicrafts, paints, etc.
Workshop : Artworks
Just like the child, let me think about it the copyright issue ....
No one allow to sale and publish my photos without my permision!
It is a job and no longer a hobby if decide to make money through selling photos! It is no longer art and interest since commercialize it.

Yes, I know them, the paintings or better artistic reproductions of photos. Some of them are good others less, but one thing is sure, you have framed your shot perfectly with the kid giving extra DOF. It is a very atmospheric picture, I really like it.

The impression to be in a temple of art is manifest. I appreciate the composition which describes the artist and the context of creation. The light and the colors are sober and right. Congratulations.
Have a nice day

It does gives an impression that the painter is painting the back of this boy! Good street photo with the boy's T-shirt providing bright colours to the FG

This is an interesting documentary, showing artist work organized as a business like selling milk and bread!
The point of view works well and allows for a glimpse inside the shop...
The scene is well framed with good details!

Very good eye. As an artist, I love images of street artists concentrating on their creation. It is always good to see also their subject and their work.

what I like most is the fact that the people here obviously did not notice the photographer! There is such a nice atmosphere of daily routine here. A very pleasant impression of the paint shop, excellently captured. And thanks for your statements concerning the commercialization of this site. TFS!

Good daily life image showing the artist at work, I like the fact that the boy was looking at the artist drawing, and we see the back of his head as the artist seem to be drawing the same POV we are looking at. that is clever if you planned it that way, or a really coincident. regardless it is a very good shot. I love it.

as an amateur painter, I appreciate this shot a lot :) Very good!
I like the moment of creativity which you captured. I think that the child is an eye-catcher, in this case :) Not only the painter and the paintings... it is the child that makes the whole image "shine".
Interesting WS photo, too :) especially with a "western union" sign in the BG :)))
Very best wishes from hot Moscow,

You have capture well the serious expression of the artist and the interest of the child watching him. The picture is clear and sharp. The subject is well framed. The light is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day from Yellowknife.

J'aime beaucoup la photo du WS mais celle-ci est intéressante pour l'ambiance avec l'enfant et l'artiste dans cet atelier de peinture. Excellente mise en scène !

belido (19934) 2009-06-17 5:03
another interesting scene. This is pure daily life. I see an interesting graphism with the paintings and the inclusion of the boy is a lot opportune. Very well done!
Wandering_Dan (3449) 2009-06-20 9:55
Hi, Ally -
A very nice human interest shot; it's full but not crowded, and well framed by the objects around it. And your subjects are clearly absorbed in their tasks.
The shift in perspective does bother me a bit, but although I tried several corrections in Photoshop, I wasn't happy with any of them, so I am not posting a WS. It is OK as it is; I was just seeing if I could make it even better. Maybe a PS expert (which I am NOT) might have some ideas.
PS: Like you, I am disturbed by the changes in TE, particularly the momentary revelation that the new owners might claim the right to sell our photos. Since they backed off on that, I am suspending judgment, though I have removed photos from here that I have sold or plan to sell. A pity; this place has been good for constructive criticism on some of them.
