Different with west country, balconies at my city bored without flowers and plants, resident at this area they are many from out-station or others country, they are just rent a room or house here, they are busy for working every day, and no extra time to decorate their balconies.

a very fascinating view of the balconies and a great perspective. But a very sad note! I don't think that it is necessary to decorate the balcony living in a place with such an amazing nature as your's. Since we have at least 4 month of winter we are longing for the greenery and therefore cultivating so many plants on our balconies.

This capture is full of details, over some interesting graphisms. And it gives us an idea about the resident area of Kuala Lumpur. Nice post!
Have a nice week, Ally!

The point of view leads our eyes toward the balconies which are use to dry up the clothing. The vertical lines of the balconies are assets to the composition. The colors are enhanced by the luminosity. Have a nice day.

belle photo de ce batiment au nombreux balcons de conceptions différentes et de manière différentes de l' aménager si l' on peut dire.
Jolies couleurs et bonne netteté.

It's not the most beautiful of subjects, but its interest goes behind the 'TE spirit' of 'showing the world', as you achieved getting a nice graphic compo with the cluttered balconies.
Frankly, I find black frame and the caption too intrusive.

Interesting capture of the old style of buildings and your observation on the dwelling units. I think this area of Bukit Bintang rental rates must be expensive too.

They probably also have no room for plants as they have to have somewhere to dry their washing. Good daily life image and very informative.
pboehringer (770) 2008-08-20 11:11
a very good almost reportage image of daily life for the people living in this are. It seems to be quite crowded with not a lot of place left for some privacy. It gives me the impression that half of their lives is on the balconies.

I think it is a nice view from the buildings, they are a faCE OF THE CITY we can't forget. I liked this pov and the light, colors aren't so special. I would prefer this image in B&W. anyway you did a nice job
huahoa (3695) 2008-08-26 14:19
In west we have also same balconies (lol).
You know, when you have no place or no time, first, the utility.
Interesting reportage about the daily life !
Well done !

A well framed photo to give us a glimpse into the daily lives of so many people. Not a person in sight - I guess they are all working as you suggest. Tfs, Marlene
