An Acrobatic troupe from China performed the chinese acrobatic at Sungei Wang Shopping Complex to create the festival atmosphere of Chinese New Year.
This presentation is not easy, good balancing is require to maintain the candles do not drop down, and also not to burn her hairs and four lims. Take a look WS photos to imagine how she move the candals from her front to her back.

Very interesting acrobatics. The woman seem in perfect control as she balances the candles. Your picture is excellent Ally. The colours, exposure, sharpness, everything seem in perfect balance as well. Good work showing the workshop pictures too. Thanks.

Voilà une jeune fille très, très souple! Le cadrage est très bon et tu as bien maîtrisé la lumière également, Bravo.

Excellent shaprness and bright colors for this acrobatic dancing performance. I just ask myself whether a tigher framing on the dancer would have been better or not.
All the best,

Very good pictures, both this one and the two workshops! I like the composition and the bright colors characteristic for Chinese public performances! I prefer a background that's not so busy but this wasn't under your control! Well done! Thank you for sharing!
With Friendly Regards,

I saw this photo of yours the other day and I liked it. This is an excellent dance photo and I like the vivid colors and the lighting. I like this better than the two workshop photos. Generally the closer cropped dance photos work better because of all of the background clutter, but the background is so beautiful here that it is better to include it. Usually dance stages have a lot of distractions in the background like cables, chairs, etc. A very beautiful image!

Impressive show, very well captured by you. The vivid colours are quite attractive, but they also interfere with the show: the artist doesn't detach herself very well from the BG. But of course that this isn't your fault.
Waht is your 'fault' is the amazing clarity and sharpness in an indoor shot.
TFS, Regards, José.

Excellent composition for this very colorful and beautiful picture of the acrobatic dancer. I like the excentered location of the dancer in the frame and the good sharpness of the scene (good choice of DOF).
Thanks for sharing!

You captured a nice moment of this event. Details, light and sharpness are perfect. You placed the woman very well.
The others in Ws are also good.

Cette image est impressionnante, et de plus, fort bien colorée !
zmey (7335) 2008-09-09 8:30
wonderful moment capture. the colors are bright and punchy too. just, i feel, i would have preferred a much more selective focus (on the acrobat) here. the background details almost "eat her up" in the image, but she is the centerpiece. however, i see that your aperture was quite wite already f/3.3. was it a digicam? those are notorious for very deep DOF at wide apertures.
paura (47166) 2009-05-13 4:16
Very interesting artistic scene here. Colours and back ground shapes are very interesting. I can't do that! Well done.
