Photographer’s Note

Kelantan River has mood swings. It can be a perfect setting for a romantic sundown shot like this one or can show its wrath by spilling its water resulting in flood, loss of property and loss of lives.

It is quite special that the scenery like this one was captured in December. Usually, it's wet, dull and unforgiving around year's end.

Kelantan is situated in the east cost of the Malaysian peninsular. The north-easterly monsoon hits this part of the country every year bringing rain and strong winds. To many of its people, flood is expected.
