Sungai Golok is the Thai town, visible on the north bank of the Golok River. Taken from the Malay side of the bridge into Thailand. Khota Bharu is the large Malay town to the south east of here.

Très belle vue, superbe composition
J’aime bien ton cadrage et la lumière, mais ce qui me plait avant tout ici, c’est la diagonale tracée par le mur au dessus de la rivière, et le type qui descends vers les barques!
Très beau travail

Very good framing of this compo.
I like the perspective done with the river.
Good light and colors too.

I like to see a riverside village like this, this one looks lovely and peaceful, the cars have been replaced by boats here. The picture is well framed and nicely composed.

Well shot as the sun was covering the Thai side with nice light, we get a good glimpse of the riverside life, I wish you could have framed a little bit wider. The scan output is very good here.
Hav a nice day,

Again a beautiful scanning picture, the river and the boats is one part, the pier give large perspective, the small houses between the palmtrees a total nice composition.

Hi Chris, This is a well composed picture. The crowded house and the crowded river bank parking situation is well captured. A nice contrast and a nice daily life scene.

Interesting documentary-type of shot here, Chris. The diagonal view allows to include a lot of details to study in these quite humble surroundings. Well contrasted in good colors. I might have tried to clone away the slightly overexposed white building at the top right.

A nice portrait of this town, Chris. I like how you've used diagonal lines to add interest here.

Plus de 10 ans déjà et la numérisation est plus que correcte. L'avant-plan est parfait en netteté et couleurs. J'aime cette longue diagonale faite par le muret le long de la berge et le miroitement dans la rivière.
Très beau document !

Great angle with nice perspective of the Golok River in Kelantan. Well composed, too.
This is a documentary-photo style.
Well done, Chris.

Interesting shot. Surprising to see the condition of the Thai buildings here, though maybe things have changed since 1995. I was planning to come here last year, until the trouble started in the south of Thailand, I wish they'd hurry up and sort that out.

j'aime beaucoup cette vue plongeante sur la rivière, belle lumière aussi, de la vie avec cet homme qui se dirige vers le bateau

I like the way how good you share always the life of the simple people there with those wobbly houses and the tin roofes at the border of this river with this diagonal dividing the picture almost in two to the boats assuring their income.
Well done Chris

Waterfront living conditions offer a small benefit: a parking space for boats belong to locals.
Taken from a high POV, from another country, and show a daily life scene along the river.
Intriguing photography, bravo.
