A boy amusing himself with the waves in Pantai Irama (Beach of Melody) in Bachok, Kelantan. Blessed with miles of sandy beaches, going to the beach has become a popular weekend family activity for many Kelantanese.

Situated on the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia, Kelantan was spared from the worst Tsunami in history on Boxing Day, 2004. The Malaysian state was, however, not without its share of God's tests. It had experienced the worst monsoon flood in 20 years merely weeks before the Tsunami brought havoc around the Andaman Bay.
I wonder if seaside amusement is not seen the same way again for many people. Or has it brought fear even for this boy in the shot.
