Photographer’s Note

6.00 a.m. – I was flying from Kuala Lumpur heading for Hanoi and while enjoying the smooth cruise above South China Sea, this spectacular scene appeared outside the window as day break and the sun was peeping out of the horizon. The ever changing cloudscape always provide the thrills and fascinations when I am in the air as it is always one that I least expected. There were some very lovely moments but the positioning of the plane just make it impossible for me to take the shot. I hope you enjoyed this one.

Gorgeous sunrise photo. The dark clouds in the bottom of the picture are really beautiful and the warm sunlight is lovely. I also like the golden rays of the sun alternated with the blue of the morning sky in the top of the photo. Very well done and thanks a lot for sharing!

Such a beautiful daybreak from the window of the aircraft well captured!
the exposure and focus is spot on with fine colouration and details over the sky, also the sunbeam is truly beautiful

This is a wonderful sunrise at 30,000 feet..!
Great colours and the sun gives the wonderful golden linings to the clouds...
Considering the conditions there are sharp fine details, and the view is well framed!
