Hello friends in TE.

The Alor Setar Tower is city's tallest landmark, a structure that stands out over the rest. Besides serving as a state-of-the-art telecommunications tower, the Tower offers the public a chance to enjoy a panoramic view that stretches from Gunung Jerai (formerly known as Kedah Peak) to the Straits of Melaka.

The amazing design and architecture of the Alor Setar Tower has its own beauty, function and purpose. The vertical structure enables the tower to withstand the wind and other natural elements. The Alor Setar Tower also symbolises the progressing state of Kedah.

Rice plays a major role in the culture in Kedah, not only because it is the staple food for Malaysians, but it is entrenched in the state's agrigarian heritage. The Tower's platform allows visitors to enjoy a breathtaking view, starting with the peak of Kedah, stretching outward to the Straits of Melaka. From the tower, you will see vast expanses of paddy fields which lies outside of Alor Setar - an amazing view especially during harvest time. In terms of structure design, the wide space of the observation deck permits a large number of visitors to enjoy the unlimited view before them.

The Tower is the most modern and most prominent landmark for Kedah, which is presently undergoing rapid development. Standing at 165.5 metres tall, the Alor Setar Tower is the pride of the people of Kedah Darul Aman in particular, and Malaysians in general. With the opening of the Tower, the state of Kedah looks to the world of telecommunications and the era of high technology and opportunity, whilst creating, in the process, a significant contribution to the industrialisation agenda of the country.

Without doubt, communication tools give us a better understanding of our environment, given today's fast paced development. Its aim is to receive and transmit electronic data at the rate of millions of pulses per hour, billions in a day, thus creating the wider access possible to information.

Upfront and so well compsoed with a superb balance and a lovely perspective. Great shot indeed. Beautiful, stark and bold and well set up too

Hi Jusni,

very nice strong perspective and symetry. So you used a wide angle at 10mm...the effect is really good...the tower looks imponent. Very well done!
Regards,
Carlos

Hello Jusni, amazing capture, excellent architecture shot, great POV and perspective. I like a lot the lines on the flor that lead the eye to the impressove structure. Thanks for sharing.
Best regards,
Kostas.

Hi Jusni
Great shot about this modern architecture. The POV chosen was smart because it leads our look to the top of this tower. The name star tower combines well with presentation. Good work! Regards, Consuelo

hi Jusni

Perfect symmetry. A great looking tower structure and a good choice of light condition not to expose the tone. I wonder how it looks like up in the tower deck, have to pay to go up?

Hi Jusni!
The architecture is very nice and your perspective is great, making it as even more impressive tower!

Zeca

Jusni,
this one doesn't have the spetacular cloud formations of your previous shots but also some clouds that stand out quite well against that tower. Great POV with an interesting element of distortion. It would have been nice to have someone walking up to the tower to provide additional sense of movement.

Hi Jusni,
Indeed an imposing construction, yet, very elegant as well. I like the POV very much and the way that the trees and the candles 'try' to compete with the verticality of the tower. It looks slightly dark to me (like some of your last posts, BTW); nothing worrying, though. The only thing I don't like so much is the cropped candle on right. I guess that it would have been better if you had included it totally, like you did with the one on the left.
Regards, José.

Salam Jus,
just came back from one-week course. Tired and felt left out in TE.
This is a great POV,dramatic skt with element of symetry and challenging to the eyes.
Very exciting shot.

Foozi
