Photographer’s Note

The bronze eagle is Langkawi's most famous landmark. It is located in Kuah town, and can be easily spotted upon arrival in the island (upon docking to the jetty from a ferry).

These 2 workers were cleaning the surroundings when I visited the place. When they saw a bunch of tourists coming to the place, they tried to work faster. They try to avoid being captured by the tourists' cameras. The other tourists obviously doesn't want them in their photos, so they waited for them to finish their work.

But I wanted them in mine. I think capturing the landmark including a daily life scene with it would be better. So I moved closer to take a shot. When at first I aimed at them, they tried to get out. But when I motioned for them to continue, they finally understood, and they went ahead with their work.
