Kedah Padi fields
Situated in the northwestern corner of Peninsular Malaysia, the state of Kedah covers an area of approximately 9,425 sq. km and with a population of 1.5 million. Kedah, together with the neighbouring state of Perlis in the north, is traditionally known as the "Rice Bowl of Malaysia'', being the major producer of rice in the country. A visit to Kedah will reveal a land of serene natural beauty, surrounded by the greenery of padi during the planting season and golden hues at harvest time.
Now it is raining season soon the plots will be planted and the green will emerge to make the canvas of Kedah lovely again.

I guess this image is between seasons then!
The scene clearly shows water is plentiful this time of year, and the lovely cloud formation is a real eye-catcher...
I come to think of how more easy rice production is in a region like this, where no terraces is needed to secure water for the plants..!

Hello Foozi.
I agree with what has already been said - you have a fantastic sky here, and sufficient detail in the darker foreground to convey a strong sense of the flooding. It's a simple but very moody sort of picture, it works well. And your note is very good too.

I like the clouds and the way you have composed this shot! I can see the distanced lighted potions of the field as compared to the front portion and this makes the photo very interesting indeed! congrats!

Good shot, showing the rice fields during the rainy season, waiting to be planted. Wonderful cloudy sky, which is also having an effect on the foreground with part in cloud and part in sun.

belle photo de ce partage par les terres partiellement innondées et ce ciel superbe avec cette étendue de nuages.
Jolies couleurs, bonne lumière entre le sombre et le clair et netteté très bonne.

Yes, the clouds are absolutely great, but, as others commented as well, the paddy field is a bit dark. It had to be this way, because between the field and the sky in particular the clouds there are at least 3 stops. As I can see you did not use any filter nor did you use the ND function in photoshop. To be honest, I know the latter is there but I never used it, I prefer the filter approach. I'm used to it from my analog time. A medium gradual gray filter could help, hold over the sky and the clouds. Otherwise your shot is at its best, vivid colors, fine sharpness and perfect DOF due to the paddy field and the clouds.
