Photographer’s Note
In the middle of paddy fields I saw this typical so called independent car workshop which does all "repairs" and maintenance work you ask them to do. They try their best but there is no guarantee that your car will be legally roadworthy. However there are many such workshop not only in Malaysia but everywhere. Some of them are relatively good others are not so up to standard.

Hi Urs,
I like the 'real-life' documentary persented here.
With a tight budget, no insurance, having your car serviced using 'replacement' parts may have saved you a couple of hundred dollars but I do agree you have to be careful in leaving your car to questionable shops. There are mechanics who used to work for reputable car dealers that have their own auto shops like this, that's where I have my car fixed. I buy original parts then go have them fixed outside reputable mechanics - though my car's dead now.
Just wondering all those engines blocks all piled up - where are the car bodies!

Hi Urs,
I have passed this place but never actually gained entry in there. Nice shot of the used parts which is heaven for Malaysian motorists. The guy was trying to tell you something about these half-cut stuff maybe.
Thanks for sharing and best regards,
Jusni

Hello Urs,
Lively shoot to show the worker doing his works, good frame to a selected corner from the workshop, good daily life shoot, thanks for sharing.

Wow, I do not know if I wanted to leave my car there!
Anyway, you got a great picture of this chaotic workshop. Was the guy unhappy with you? Well done.

Hallo Urs,
A very interesting and peculiar workshop, in a scene caught with a lot of spontaneity.
There is a great number of elements in the composition, which they provide a strong graphism to the photo.
Well seen, and well done.
Best regards,
Josep

Hi Urs,
It looks like a backyard motor workshop from my hometown. A typical scene across the country ... even in Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya. A great daily life scence for TE. I wish you had more time to meter for the background lighting but I like the spontaneous capture. Regards. Latiff.
