Zahir Mosque with River Photo

Photographer’s Note

The most enjoyable to do in Alor Star, the state capital of Kedah, certainly is a morning stroll along the picturesque Mergong river. I love to sit below the shadow of the huge trees at the river, watch some fishes jump. It's very peaceful. No traffic sound. Of course there also is the royal Zahir mosque in the background. There had been no changes for years if not decades, it's like as if we are back in the old good times before the climate change.

Sorry that I have been away for quite a while (from your gallery) and will be going outstation again tomorrow. Congratulations for the well deserved stars close to your ID.

I like this shot, taken from fine pov capturing the reflection in this muddy water but you have made it looking gorgeous. The puffy white clouds and saturated blue sky embraced the mosque and AOR tower very well in the frame.

Good pov and good balacing between the real environment and the big part of reflaction, full in relaxing and peaceful feels, you can improve the quality of photo by adding more sharpness, thanks for sharing a nice view in a sunny day.

As you promised, a digital upload! Like the reflection, especially of the clouds. The framing with the trees is very nice, bounding the mosque on either side. Good contrast as well. Well done!

This is a very nice view of the river and the mosque, even if I believe the big tower behind is competing for the position in the frame. The sky looks a bit over-exposed but the rest of the picture is good, with nice colours too. Finally, the reflection is excellent. Well done.
