Outside the Sri Mariamman Temple, located off Jalan Wong Ah Fook, in downtown Johor Bahru is a row of stalls selling flowers and prayer paraphernalia. The vendor was busy stringing flowers when I walked past the stall. The colourful flowers stand out against the stark background.
