Photographer’s Note
The Johor Bahru Prison... looking at the cells from the corridor.
The moment I stepped in the jail block I felt restless immediately. It's very depressing. Imagine, you can't do anything you wish, everything you do is watched by the guards.
Also, the compound was previously used by the Japanese during the Malaya occupation in the second world war. The guards mentioned that in the middle of the night, shrieks and soft voices can be heard. Sometimes, dark figures seem to move around the corridors, stopping from one cell to another. Yikes!
This photo was processed using the same method as the 2nd pic I shared yesterday.
I like this picture and I hope you like it too.
Cheers!

I really like all these photos from the Johor Bahru prison. They are all very sobering. looks like a frightful place. The PP on the last two shots in particular is very effective. I like the grainy, desaturated destitution. Great work.

Good effect and good light here. The choice to use the grainy effect here is appropiated emphatizing the dramatic mood of the composition.
Well done!

So claustrophobic. How could anyone last for more than a day. Thoughtful decision turning your color into grainy black/white Yahwen. Depressing enough.
