Here is the fixed version, corrected horizon and less noise. Thanks for all the helpful notes!

Watched this beautiful thunder storm from the beach of Tioman Island one night and decided to try and catch it. This was the first time I ever took a picture of lightning, and when I succeded I was realy thrilled.

Took a long series of photos and I think this is the best one. This one is slightly improved in PS (levels), and also cropped a little.

Great capturing you did,Martin!
I like it,well controlled the lightning with a good exposure,attractive colors and splendid view,also nice to see the houses light in corner.
about cropping,could be better if you crop the triangle in bottom,still,it's great,not a flaw surely,I said it as a suggestion for improve the comosition.
anyway,Thanks for sharing,and it's a fine trying that you did,Martin!

woah, the act of mother nature. i like this shot, especially the lighting and the shadow of the lighting appeared on the sea.

Well done with this one . You have some nice photos in your collection this one probably being my favourite. You have captured this well. I love that dark blue the lighting creates.

Very very good job! I took some shots of thunder storms and I know how difficult it can be to capture some beauty like this one. Just 8 seconds of exposure?!? Lucky you... :))

Hi Martin,
I already tried to capture flashes several times but none of them turned out to be as nice as yours. this one is really awesome! The flash is clear and the clouds is lightened up and has a nice contrast. the reflections in the water are nice as well.

I understand your elation with this photo... it is one of the nicer compositions. The illumination is subtle throughout most of the picture and spectacular where it counts. Suh-weeet!!!
