Photographer’s Note

This cool guy was hanging around outside the beach of Air Batang on Pulau Tioman. A local told me this was the father of a family of three living by this beach. Saw the mother aswell but not their baby. The local also told me that he had taken care of the baby and his brother when they were small, but that the brother had been killed by a boat propeller.
Snorkeled with this guy for a couple of hours and took some pictures of him with my Olympus with a under water housing.
Slightly improved color and contrast in this one.

Beatiful shot.
Despite is a picture taken underwaten is still sharp and neat.

Hello Martin,

Excellent! I have never seen one so close while underwater. I saw one once in Mexico, near Cozumel, but we were going to surface so we were not able to follow it.
Yours is really great, I like the sharpness of the turtle itself and the way it is floating around. Very nice!

Nice shot ! It isn't easy to have good photo under water ! Colors and tones are soft, and the DOF is OK
The turtle is well placed and net.

There is no underwater pics. on TE so it is very rear to see something.With this turtle you make veri nice shot.Bravo!
